DJ Ng Beautifully sorrowful. The Commonwealth’s tunes speak volumes of emotional blues. The heart-aching piano combines with an even more heart-aching voice that yearns for love from loss. I love this EP because it’s just so genuine and comforting.

Elephant 03:52
Am I reaching over everyone, just to let you know this weighs a ton? I’ll hear you out, and all about what it takes to talk. Come on, tell me now, I’ll hear you out. Just before we go and run around-- but knowing you, you’ll tell me that I cannot be your one. So come and tell me now, into our house, what do I mean to you now? But who knows now who we are now. Often I wonder where you’ve gone; don’t leave it up to me to bring you home. Don’t leave me out, don’t leave me out alone. Oh come on wretched love, don’t bring me down, don’t mess it up and wonder at the sounds I’m making now-- don’t make me out to be someone I’m not. So come and tell me now, into our house, what do I mean to you now? Because who knows now who we are now. Don’t run off now, when I’m getting old.
And this thought of you I never had: the moment you'd move on. Had this thought of you already wild, wild, and speeding along. And the thought of you all ready to write your goodbye song. Had this thought of you singing for once of why this went wrong. Was it awe I never returned while you named all your grief? Was there some canned round of applause for your agony? How was all your grave-digging down by the edge of the beach? Was it awful watching me hide while you fell out of reach? And I suddenly feel sorrow for you.
The Goldrush 04:37
Everyone is talking about you. Everyone has got their eyes on you. I don’t wonder why, I don’t wonder why. And they’ve all gone ahead, selling things I won't--selling things-- I'm too shy to come up on that road. By my faults am I here left alone? No? Well I don't feel any better-- I don't heal any better. And I have been knee-deep in foolishness all year, panning for all of that hallelujah gold in your muddy heart. I don’t wonder why, I don’t wonder why-- cause you’re all that I have. I don't feel any better. I don't heal any better.
Don't think of me when the summer comes-- keep your eyes on the sun. Run away, run away from this town Coming back, coming back, I’ll never know Is to leave too much? Is to leave here good enough?
Ready, Ready 05:20
Don't you go now; you're laughing as we fall, though I don't hold up so well. I hold on tight, the rain is falling cruel tonight; it always throws me overboard. And I'm moved. I'm removed. Keep it to yourself, for now: what I am already hoping for. Save your words, they've got no weight until they take their stand under hope. This? An ache in my bones that I know. I guess you weren't ready, ready for the good days to come. It's all made of air and sand; so easily it crumbles to the floor. I hold my breath underwater for days, now I wait to hear you say-- That you aren't ready, ready for the good days to come.
Bloomed 04:11
My oh my, oh time, what did you do with me? Let me fall and land and crawl, and for a week. Stretch me thin, I'm with the wind and blooming through. Keep me close, the air is cold--I can't see you. Oh what did I do? (I should have been someone else by now) My oh my, oh time, what can I do to leave? Take me home, where nothing grows that will not speak. “I was here” say souvenirs we’ll never use. Keep me close, and I’ll say we’re as-good-as-new. What can I bring you? I’ve been gone awhile, while the leaves all take off.
